The Cat's Cradle was founded in 2014 by Sophia Laurent, a lifelong cat lover who believed that grooming should never be a source of stress for a cat. What started as a two-station studio in the West Village has grown into New York City's most trusted cat-only spa.
We exist for one reason: to give every cat the gentle, expert care they deserve — in a calm, safe, and loving environment.

We built The Cat's Cradle from the ground up with feline psychology in mind. Our studio is quiet, scent-controlled, and designed to feel safe. We never rush a session, and we always let the cat guide the pace.

With 12 years of feline grooming expertise, Sophia founded The Cat's Cradle after noticing how stressful traditional grooming was for cats. She is certified in cat behaviour and low-stress handling.
